“What really moved us to purchase Trinium-TMS was the ease of use; especially the usability of the dispatch screen. Being able to view all your jobs and drivers on the same screen allows our dispatchers to execute in real-time, allowing each dispatcher to handle more drivers per day which translates into more revenue.”

International Asset Systems and Trinium Technologies Announce Joint Venture to Develop New Information Products and Services for Container Transport Industry

Offerings will provide seamless, end-to-end data flow to streamline work
order/dispatch management and increase container visibility for ocean carriers, shippers
and intermodal trucking companies

REDONDO BEACH, California – March 22 , 2007 –   A leading provider of information products and services for ocean carriers has joined forces with a leading intermodal trucking applications provider to streamline the management of trucking work orders, and to increase container visibility for both industry sectors.

International Asset Systems (IAS), which focuses on ocean carriers, and Trinium Technologies, which serves the intermodal trucking industry, today announced a formal joint venture to deliver products and services that could be released as early as the second half of 2007. The announcement came at the Trinium Exchange, an annual user conference on best practices in intermodal trucking.

The joint venture will leverage pilot programs already underway, with joint development teams currently working to create new products that will transform the phone- and fax-dominated world of trucking work orders and dispatching into an automated process that vastly increases operating efficiency as well as the electronic visibility of containers in the critical “first mile” and “last mile” of the delivery cycle.

The joint venture unites IAS’ experience in the ocean carrier and shipper community, processing more than 50,000 intermodal container transactions a day through its IAS Hub and with 18 of the 20 top-tier ocean carriers as customers, and Trinium’s leadership in intermodal trucking, with 1,100 users managing dispatch activities for more than 6,000 truck drivers daily.  By combining these industry strengths, Trinium and IAS will create a new platform for products and services that link the two sectors with seamless, end-to-end transactions and that will automate heretofore current manual processes.

“This is an immensely exciting partnership,” said Paul Crinks, chief executive officer of Oakland-based IAS.  “It’s the right combination to address the challenge of managing the first mile and last mile, which is the single-biggest data blind spot remaining in the intermodal industry.  Together, Trinium and IAS will be dedicating significant resources and staff to develop breakthrough products and services.  We’re anticipating truly great things.”

Added Michael Thomas, chief executive officer of Torrance-based Trinium, “Instead of delivery orders that require manual re-keying of data, we envision a world in which intermodal trucking companies can more naturally and efficiently transact business with their customers.  Data exchange and container visibility are age-old problems for our industry.  We’re thrilled about being at the forefront of a venture that will more closely integrate intermodal truckers, shipping lines and beneficial cargo owners.”
